  • What is Christian Counseling?

Christian Counseling uses the biblical principles of God’s Word to address the problems people face in life. One To One Family Christian Counseling, Inc. is a ministry dedicated to helping individuals and families to reconcile and restore relationships, cope with painful challenges, and find the answers they are searching for and need from God, in order to live a successful and meaningful life.
Our Christian Counseling does not attempt to employ a medical, psychological, or behavioral modification model. It is a biblical model first and foremost that is based on the Plan of Salvation, and works to get to the root of the problem and help the counselee to search within themselves and recognize where they are in their walk with Christ, and begin to apply His Word and His principles, and be reconciled and restored in every area of their life.

  • How is our staff trained?

All our counselors have the minimum of a bachelor’s degree and are required to have specific counseling certification through the AACC (American Association of Christian Counseling) and Light University. See AACC.org for more information about this certifying organization.

  • What does the One To One Christian Counseling charge for counseling?

We are a non-profit organization and do not charge for our counseling services. Additionally, a large part of the operational costs are covered by donations and contributions from our partners, supporters, and individuals like yourself. This allows us to make our primary goal to focus on ministering to our counselees with genuine care and compassion.

  • Are my counseling sessions confidential?

Yes, all of our counseling sessions are private and confidential between counselor and counselee. However, in rare instances, information disclosed in a counseling session may not be confidential. This would occur when the information presented by the counselee may involve criminal or illegal practices. In these instances, most state laws require reporting to the local police or government agencies. Additionally, on occasion, it may be necessary to involve a second counselor in a particular case. In this case, permission would first be obtained from the counselee to share pertinent information with this counselor to assist with the counseling process.

  • How do I begin counseling?

You can click on Contact Us through our website or by calling 904-385-0213 to arrange for an appointment. We will send you some information to be completed prior to your first counseling appointment. Your counselor will contact you directly to set up your first session and will determine with you the frequency and number of future sessions.

  • How are my donations being used?

100% of all donations and contributions are used to support the operations of the ministry and the continued education and certifications of our counselors, through the AACC and Light University.

  • How are my donations being used when given specifically for Global Village - One to One?

100% of your donations go directly to the grassroots ministries to complete the projects that directly impact the people in Uganda or any developing country we support. Donations must be specified as Donations for Global Village - One to One to support this mission.
